About Me

Thank you for stopping by my blog!

My name is Chelsie and I am just an everyday person trying to find meaning and purpose.

I am in my early 20s and I have been a bookworm for as long as I can remember. I also have a love of cats, some video games, YouTube, and hanging out with my wonderful boyfriend.

I am currently a part-time bookseller at one of the larger book chains in the United States, but that was never my lifetime goal or anything. I graduated with a BA in English Literature in the spring of 2014, and my original plan was to continue with a Master's degree for student affairs. After a year I decided that wasn't right for me, so I quit my job as a Graduate Assistant and got my job at Barnes and Noble.

In addition to my dissatisfaction with my experiences in Grad school, in the summer of 2015 I was also diagnosed with Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD). I have always been someone very motivated, driven, and independent, and the anxiety proved to be something I wasn't prepared to handle. It put a wrench in all of my plans, and I have been forced to face this condition head-on.

This blog is both a personal and a professional exploration; a way to cope with anxiety and share my experiences with other, as well as an attempt to find some kind of meaning in life.

Thanks for stopping by and exploring with me!

Chelsie
